How we protect your information

Your privacy is very important to us. At Linguafun, we are committed to protecting the privacy of the users of our Website and we fully comply with UK law and the new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We host Linguafun on a HTTPS server, so any data entered is sent securely. The only data we request to be entered is the generic username and password combination that was set up originally and sent to the school’s email address when the account was opened, this is sent securely when logging in to us and checked by the server for authenticity.

Linguafun’s customer database is stored on a local secure server, located in the UK. That means that encryption technology and firewalls are used to protect your information from being accessed by anyone else.

What information we hold and how we may use it

We do not store or collect any personal information for any of the students, parents/guardians or staff members, with the exception of the member of staff who ordered the Linguafun subscription on behalf of the school. Any other communication received will be responded to and a copy will be forwarded to the school.

At Linguafun, both the teachers and students have generic usernames and are never asked to enter their personal details.

If you are a teacher or a member of staff requesting a Linguafun subscription on behalf of your school, we ask you to provide us with your school’s details and email address. We will use this information for the purposes of administration, sending you the login details, the invoice, subscription renewal information and occasionally, special offers.
